In a statement issued by Yoga Alliance International Australia, and in response to the Coronavirus Crisis, Yoga Alliance International have opened its doors to Online Training Course Accreditation. Only ERYTs (Experienced Registered Yoga Teachers) are eligible to apply for the accreditation and/or conversion of teacher training courses.

This announcement follows the dramatic new restrictions announced by Australia’s Prime Minister which is aimed to help Yoga Training Providers and individuals who have been negatively impacted by the Coronavirus.

A Message for Yoga Teachers from Yoga Alliance International

In light of the uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, many yoga teachers have had to adjust or amend how they offer their classes. In this unsettling climate, Yoga Alliance International  is, more than ever, here to provide guidance, protect our community and support members in their yoga teaching.

While we do not typically advocate online classes, given the current climate, this appears to be the most appropriate measure for members to continue to operate their business and serve the students most in need of yoga.

There are a variety of ways to teach online, some of which are more complex than others. To provide you with as much information as possible, we have put together a guide to online classes. Please see below:
